The Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) supports organizations that are working to turn the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa at the grassroots level. It funds community level projects that provide care to women who are ill and struggling to survive; assist orphans and other AIDS affected children; support heroic grandmothers who almost single-handedly care for their orphan grandchildren; and support associations of people living with HIV and AIDS. In the last five years, SLF has funded over 300 community-level projects in 15 sub-Saharan African countries.

Give a Day to World AIDS proposes that we recognize World AIDS Day, December 1st each year by giving one day’s income to an organization that will use the money well in the fight against AIDS. Give a Day is a unique, Canadian response to the pandemic. It encourages the participation of individuals in their workplaces, schools and communities. It is a powerful response to the atrocity of the AIDS pandemic.

Dignitas International is focused on helping communities survive AIDS. Dignitas increases access to life-saving HIV/AIDS-related treatment, prevention and support in Africa by developing, implementing and sharing community-based care programs. Through Dignitas’s partnership with Ministries of Health and local community groups, tens of thousands of families are once again focused on living.
